F/26/5’6” [218 lbs > 151 lbs = 67 lbs] One year progress. In the first picture, I was 3 months into the weight loss and miserable. My life has been a mess this last year but I’m so proud that I’ve managed to do this. Almost 30kg gone!

Introduction

Reddit user sopkor shared her inspiring weight loss journey, detailing her progress of losing 67 lbs over the course of a year.

Strict Calorie Counting and Intuitive Eating

Sopkor started her journey by strict calorie counting for three months, then transitioning into an intuitive eating approach. She now eats when she's hungry and is more in tune with her sense of hunger. Sopkor doesn't beat herself up if she overeats, but instead treats the scale as a scientific tool to help her stay on track.

Exercise and Progress Pics

Surprisingly, Sopkor didn't exercise much during her weight loss journey. She admits she has some toning up to do, but she's still proud of how far she's come. Her progress pics show a significant difference in her body shape and size.

Diet Example

Sopkor's daily diet usually consists of coffee with skimmed milk in the morning, followed by a main meal at work that includes meat, carbs, and vegetables. For dinner, she may have bread with cheese, smoked salmon or tuna salad, or even order in fast food. She tends to drink alcohol instead of eating dinner one day a week. Sopkor emphasizes that she eats what she likes in smaller portions to stay on track.

Conclusion

Sopkor's weight loss journey is a testament to how much progress can happen when you commit to a healthy lifestyle. Her journey shows that losing weight doesn't mean depriving yourself of the foods you love. Instead, it's about eating in moderation and being mindful of your food choices. Anyone can start their weight loss journey by making small, sustainable changes in their diet and gradually increasing their exercise routine over time.
