Background: Intermittent Fasting

Ckmsecret started with intermittent fasting (IF) 2 1/2 years ago to help with her weight loss journey. She began with 18/6 (fasting for 18 hours and eating within a 6-hour window) for about 8 months before transitioning to 16/8 and eventually 20/4, which is what she primarily does now. Her eating window is between 1:30-5:30 pm.

Getting into Trail Running

Ckmsecret started running about a year and a half ago, after being a walker/hiker. She was talked into doing a 25k trail run as her very first race which helped her break the mental barrier. She completed her fourth trail half marathon recently and has no plans of stopping.

The Results

In 2 1/2 years, ckmsecret went from 250lbs to 153lbs, a total of 97lbs lost! Her hard work and dedication to IF and trail running has resulted in fantastic transformation. She is not only slimmer but also healthier and happier.

Tips for Getting Started in Trail Running

If you're interested in trail running, ckmsecret offers some tips to help you get started. One rule of thumb she learned is to be able to run the total distance of the race in your total weekly runs. So if you can run 3 miles x 3 times per week, you could do a 9 mile race. Another tip is to find a running buddy or group to help motivate you and make it more enjoyable.

Takeaway

Ckmsecret's story is a testament to the power of intermittent fasting and trail running. It's not easy, but with dedication and hard work, anything is possible. Find what works best for you and don't give up. Remember that everyone's journey is different, and that's okay. Stay motivated and keep pushing. Who knows where your journey will take you?
