F/58/5’7” [226>144] Exactly 1 year. I was up to 143 in the summer of 2020, though I’d managed to get to 226 by the time I started NOOM on 11/1/21. No good full-body pics for comparison because I was so embarrassed and purposefully avoided them. I think even my nose got skinnier! Lol

Introduction

After self-consciously avoiding taking full body pictures, and gaining weight during the pandemic, the Reddit user GrammarDiva decided to take action and sign up for NOOM last year.

The Journey

After the first year, GrammarDiva shed 82lbs, going from 226 to 144lbs. Her transformation photos show a significant difference both in terms of weight loss and her happiness and confidence levels. The transformation is obvious, and even her nose started looking leaner! GrammarDiva documents that she had only managed to get to 143lbs on her own before starting NOOM, which suggests that her journey would have taken longer if she had continued without a weight loss program.

What NOOM is and why it helped

NOOM is a weight loss program focusing on cognitive-behavioral therapy to promote healthy habits and generate long-term results. It teaches its users to have a better understanding of their bodies, emotions, and habits. According to GrammarDiva, the program helped her understand her relationship with food and change it for the better; she also appreciated the support, reminders, and daily tracking. If you're looking for a program that emphasizes education and motivation, NOOM could be an excellent starting point.

How to achieve your goals too

Set realistic mini-goals that align with an overall, long-term goal. Make small, sustainable changes to your diet and gradually increase your exercise routine based on your fitness level. Surround yourself with a supportive community, whether it's online or in your local area. Lastly, remember that it's a journey, so be patient with your progress and appreciate the small wins along the way. Stick to it, and you'll see the results!

Conclusion

GrammarDiva's hard work and dedication showed that, with willpower and the right program, significant results are possible. Her journey is a testament to the power of cognitive-behavioral therapy and the long-term benefits of creating sustainable health habits. Whether you're starting or continuing your own journey, remember that perseverance is key. It may be challenging, but how you feel and your overall health makes the effort all worth it!
