The Journey to 120lb Weight Loss

YourBasicHero started their weight loss journey at 295lbs and has since lost and maintained a 120lbs weight loss goal weight of 175lbs. From the start, they noticed things like sharp pain in their feet, low energy levels, and difficulty walking. If left unchanged, they knew that it could lead to long-term health concerns so they proactively decided to make changes to diet and lifestyle.

Changes in Diet

One of the significant changes included the decision to switch to a more specific diet. It is essential to eat fewer calories than the energy spent. Besides reducing caloric intake, YourBasicHero turned towards making healthier food choices, such as lean proteins, whole grains, and vegetables.

Incorporating Exercise

Dieting alone did not lead to the desired results. With that in mind, YourBasicHero began to incorporate healthy exercise habits into their routine. They started by walking for short periods, and as they witnessed results, they increased the intensity and duration. YourBasicHero also began strength training, which is beneficial as muscles burn more calories than fat.

The Positive Impact on Life

Having lost 120lbs, YourBasicHero says that they feel like an entirely new person. They now have more energy, feel healthier, and have regained confidence in their physical appearance. Additionally, weight loss has improved their mental health, helping them feel more focused and happier overall.

Lessons Learned - Try It Out for Yourself

YourBasicHero's weight loss journey highlights the significance of starting small, finding the strength to keep going, and making adjustments where necessary. No one said it would be easy, but with patience and perseverance, everyone can achieve their weight loss goals too.
