Introduction

Jcoopsta, a 22-year-old Reddit user, has been on a weight loss journey since approximately September. He started at 197 lbs, 6'6'' and has been cutting since then. Recently, he has been contemplating when he should start bulking.

To Bulk or Not to Bulk

Jcoopsta asked for advice on when he should start bulking. One user advised him on doing a slow, clean bulk, taking in at least TDEE +250, while keeping the diet healthy, with plenty of lean proteins and healthy fats. While some advised him to take some more time to maintain what he has achieved, others suggested starting a bulking phase. Ultimately, he chose to start bulking.

Gym Routines

Jcoopsta had previously been following ICF 5x5 (cutting version) for around four months, with good results. As he aims to primarily improve his aesthetics, he is thinking of switching to PHAT. However, he was open to other suggestions from the Reddit community. Some suggested sticking with ICF, while others recommended similar programs like StrongLifts or Greyskull LP.

Experience and Satisfaction

Jcoopsta expressed satisfaction with his prior experience and results on ICF - he started with the full 5x5 program for two months, but later opted for the 3x5 and 2x8 with no changes in results. He found that the amount of volume caught up with him and had to reduce that portion of the program to avoid injury. Ultimately, he recommends it.

Conclusion

Jcoopsta's decision to start bulking after cutting for a while is one many face when they've achieved their desired weight loss goals. Ultimately, the choice is up to the individual and depends on their fitness goals. Experimenting with different workouts and diet routines can also help achieve the desired body type. We wish Jcoopsta the best of luck in his weightlifting journey!
