Starting Slowly with Exercise

The Reddit user BugginOutNoDoubt began their weight loss journey by taking long dog walks and slowly increasing the amount of exercise they were doing over time. It wasn't until January of 2021 that they started intermittent fasting (16-8) and eating mostly fish for protein.

Incorporating Weight Training

In May of 2021, BugginOutNoDoubt began weight training for the first time ever, lifting weights every other day and doing cardio on the other days. Their workouts were overall pretty intense, and they started to notice changes in their body even though the number on the scale wasn't dropping as fast as it had been.

Slower Progress but More Muscle

After losing 70 pounds, BugginOutNoDoubt is now aiming to lose another 30 pounds while continuing to gain muscle. They've slowed down on the intermittent fasting but are still eating healthier overall and maintaining a calorie deficit. The slower progress doesn't seem to bother them as much now that they're feeling stronger and fitter than ever before.

Words of Encouragement

If you're on your own weight loss journey, BugginOutNoDoubt's story can serve as inspiration. Starting slowly, incorporating weight training, and setting achievable goals with realistic timelines can help keep you motivated and on track. Remember that even small changes to your diet and exercise routines can make a big difference over time.

Congratulations to BugginOutNoDoubt!

We want to congratulate BugginOutNoDoubt on their incredible weight loss journey and their dedication to getting fit and healthy.
