F/29/5’4” [162 > 114 = 48 lbs] exactly one year of progress… and I’ve hit my goal weight! It’s been a hard year on so many levels and the first time in ages I’ve felt proud of myself tbh. Starting to work on my cardio (sadly I do smoke - that’s next).

A Pride-Inspiring Triumph in Fighting Multiple Demons Simultaneously

OneKilofrittata's fitness journey started with targeting her reliance on alcohol. An excessive drinking binge caused her to develop bloating and the building up of fats in her hips and midsection. She then reduced drinking slowly, transitioning to 1-2 days of alcohol per week. Soon after, the weight naturally followed suit, and she began adopting a healthier diet that focused less on processed foods and harmful carbs.

Taking a Step-by-Step Approach for Sustainable Progress

OneKilofrittata stresses that instead of focusing on weight, it's more vital to observe how one's overall health and well-being improve from the lifestyle changes. Instead of taking extreme measures to cut back on unhealthy habits, she chose to quit one vice and gradually act on others. For instance, she opted to switch to 18:6 intermittent fasting and limit her social drinking. Along with a focus on cardio and less smoking, it allowed her to sustain steady weight loss.

Encouragement for Anyone on Their Fitness Journey

OneKilofrittata's fitness accomplishment showcases how lifestyle improvements done slowly, deliberately, and sustainably help override long-held unhealthy habits. She advises people not to be overly fixated on the digits on the weighing scale and instead focus on self-care and health goals as their top priorities. Critically, she asks other people undergoing progressive transformations of their lives never to lose sight of why they started in the first place and to aim for their milestones with purpose, determination, and patience.

Winning Battles, Losing Spam

Many people viewed OneKilofrittata's progress, and most of them showered her with praises and compliments. However, some took their appreciation too far and turned to unwarranted personal DMs that made her feel uncomfortable. She discouraged that people respect her privacy and celebrate her victories in more appropriate ways. OneKilofrittata's journey is about constantly improving herself and not receiving unwanted attention.

Quitting Smoking - a Possible Challenge

OneKilofrittata recently set her sights on quitting smoking and received invaluable pieces of advice from various Reddit users. Options like nicotine patches, Chantix, or smoking-cessation books all received mentions that helped several users quit smoking. As she did with fitness and drinking, OneKilofrittata is taking it one step at a time and encourages other people quitting smoking to find what works for them and stick with it.
