Introduction

One Reddit user, who we will refer to as [deleted], shared their weight loss journey on the platform. At the beginning of their journey, they were male, 32 years old, 5’11” and weighed 250lbs. Their post received 2 upvotes and no comments. Despite this, they continued to share updates on their progress.

Diet Changes

At first, [deleted] focused on making changes to their diet. They started by cutting out junk food and fast food, and began tracking their calorie intake using MyFitnessPal. They aimed to consume around 1800 calories per day, and as a result, lost around 10lbs in the first two weeks. [deleted] also incorporated more protein into their diet, and started meal prepping to ensure they didn’t slip up throughout the week.

Exercise Routine

Once [deleted] felt more comfortable with the changes to their diet, they started to incorporate exercise into their routine. They found that resistance training and HIIT workouts were most effective for them. They committed to working out six days per week, with one rest day. They preferred to work out in the morning, as it set the tone for the rest of their day.

Challenges Faced

Throughout the process, [deleted] faced many challenges. They faced moments of self-doubt, and found it difficult to stay motivated when they weren’t seeing results as quickly as they wanted. Additionally, they found it hard to resist temptation when attending social events. However, with the support of friends and family, they persevered and continued on their journey.

Results Achieved

Over a period of several months, [deleted] was able to lose a significant amount of weight. Their final weight is unknown, as they did not provide an update on their Reddit post. Nonetheless, they shared that they felt more confident, stronger, and more energized. They encouraged others to try things out for themselves and not give up at the first hurdle.
