Introduction

It's been a year since Reddit user Charspaz shared his weight journey. The teenager started with no lifting experience and went on to gain 29lbs in 12 months, achieving impressive stats like a 405x5 Deadlift, 395x1 Squat, 225x2 Bench, and 155x5 OHP. Today, Charspaz is an inspiration to many who want to gain strength and push their limits.

Starting Stats

Charspaz started with a Squat of 115x5, Deadlift of 135x5, Bench of 75x5, and OHP of 65x5. His progress was not just about raw strength but also his aesthetics, with visible gains in the before and after pictures. His growth shows that training with the right plan in place, nutrition and rest can do wonders.

Training and Diet

For eight months, Charspaz did Starting Strength, followed by four months of Madcow. The teenager bulked up hard, ate everything he could, and put on 20 lbs. However, he later had to cut most of it off. For his cutting, he ate at a calorie deficit and used yohimbine for a month. Now, he has switched to a Push/Pull/Legs routine, aiming for powerlifting success.

Record-breaking Goals

Charspaz is going entirely for strength and hopes to compete in powerlifting as soon as possible. He is targeting American records for 18-19 Juniors. The records for raw 165.2lbs Squat are 396.83 lbs and deadlift are 490.53 lbs- achievable for Charspaz given his current numbers. Records are also available at the state level that may be easier for him to achieve.

Wrapping up

Charspaz's journey is a testament to the incredible progress that consistent training, diet, and rest can bring. He began without any prior lifting experience and has now become a powerlifting prodigy. While some may have a long way to go, Charspaz's journey shows us that it's achievable. Follow his footsteps and set your goals high; you never know where you might end up.
