Limited equipment didn't stop him

Despite having only two 45lb dumbbells, a curl bar, and body weight exercises, a Reddit user identified as Slow281 was able to lose weight and undergo an impressive body transformation over six months. A before-and-after photo showed a slimmer, slightly more muscular body as he dropped from 233 to 190ish pounds.

All about sticking to it

Slow281 emphasized that dedication and consistency are the keys to success in weight loss and fitness journeys. From his own experience, he shared that once you falter even a little, it's easy for you to lose your momentum.

Full-body workout routine

Slow281 stuck to a full-body workout program, with a focus on supersets for different muscle groups. For instance, he would do push-ups and goblet squats, a reverse bend-over fly combined with a row, and shrugs for his back and shoulder muscles, and bicycle sit-ups and dumb-bell flys/press for his core.

High rep, low-weight burn

To maximize his workout, he chose to do high reps with lighter weights, but some exercises involve using both 45lb dumbbells for squats or a curl bar for innovative moves such as skull crushers. At the end of the training, he concluded with a triple-curl bicep exercise and calf raises.

Experiment and find your thing

Slow281 emphasized that his workout routine may not work for everyone, but what matters is finding a workout you enjoy and having fun with it. Working out at home may have worked for him momentarily, but he is considering joining a gym for better equipment and better results.
