In August, acaellum started his weight gain journey to go from 101 pounds to gaining more muscle and weight. He posted his progress on Reddit where he received helpful tips, especially from /r/gainit and /r/fitness subreddits.

Diet and Exercise Routine

Acaellum shared his daily diet, which includes a fruit, serving of oatmeal or grits for breakfast, high school lunch, and healthy snacks in between. For his dinners, he varies between quick meals with veggies or chicken/fish, also with veggies and starchy food. Every weekday, he wakes up at 5:15 am to hit the gym before school. On Saturdays, he enjoys wakeboarding as well. Despite not having time for sports, he prioritizes his fitness routine.

Patience is a Virtue

Acaellum realized that gaining weight and muscle takes time, but he remained patient and consistent with his diet and exercise routine. As a thin teen, he found it challenging to gain weight despite what he ate or what workouts he did. Still, he encourages other teens to join sports or find a physical activity they enjoy doing. He also plans to continue his fitness journey and improve himself regardless of the results of the weight gain challenge he joined.

The Importance of Logging Intake

One Reddit user asked acaellum if he logs his food intake. Although he doesn't, the user suggested that it could benefit him to track his meals to ensure he gets enough calories and nutrients to gain weight and muscle.
