The Slow Start to Healthy Habits

Taeryaofturalyon's journey to losing over 60 pounds started by cutting down on snacks and meals. However, they didn't completely eliminate sweets or big meals, but rather gradually adjusted their eating habits. Discipline was key, but also not beating themselves up too much if they failed.

A New Level of Strictness

In April, Taeryaofturalyon decided to step up their game by going to the gym four times per week, lifting weights, and doing 20 minutes of cardio. They also became more strict about their daily caloric intake, and cut back drastically on sweets, and eliminated soda completely.

Forgiving Themselves and Keeping Up with Good Habits

In the past, Taeryaofturalyon would easily get discouraged if they slipped up with their eating habits. However, this time, they simply accepted their slip-ups and worked on getting back on track. They credit this mindset shift to their newfound resilience in sticking to healthy habits.

Still a Long Way to Go

Taeryaofturalyon acknowledges that their journey is far from over, and that there is still a long way to go with losing another 100 pounds or so. But they are happy with the progress so far and feel much better. They remind themselves to think back on why they started when they feel like stopping.

Takeaway

Taeryaofturalyon's journey teaches us the importance of being patient with ourselves and starting small, and not beating ourselves up too much if we slip up. They also remind us that it's never too late to start a fitness routine or better eating habits, and that resilience and forgiving ourselves is key in maintaining those good habits.
