Introduction

Knotthattuff's post on Reddit has inspired thousands of people who are on the same weight loss journey as her. Her journey from weighing 290 pounds to her current weight of 120 pounds is nothing short of amazing. Her story shows that with determination, hard work, and a little help, anyone can achieve their weight loss goals.

From Her Early Years to Her Weight Gain

Knotthattuff's weight gain began when she was 13 years old. She moved away from her childhood friends and noticed a slight weight gain. When she was 15, she got pregnant, and although she lost 28 pounds due to being sick, she gained 36 pounds during the rest of her pregnancy. She finished high school early and went straight to college and a home of her own to run. At 19, her weight was around 180 pounds, and at 21, she was pregnant with her youngest daughter, weighing 200 pounds after giving birth.

The Complications and the Decision to Undergo Surgery

Knotthattuff's weight gain continued after her young daughter was born. She later had to undergo emergency back surgery due to disc herniation, and from 27 to 31 years old, she had 8 more surgeries. Despite seeing a nutritionist and gradually making progress with her weight, she stalled because of nerve pain. Even with healthy eating, she was not losing weight. Her natural pathologist recommended weight loss surgery, and she underwent gastric bypass surgery in November of 2013 weighing 290 pounds.

The Hard Work and Dedication That Followed

After surgery, Knotthattuff's body lost much-needed nutrients, which left her feeling run down and unhealthy. Her goal was to weigh around 140 pounds, but she dropped below that to 118 pounds at 25 months post-op. She started focusing on gaining muscle, building strength, and improving her emotional and physical health. She began working out with physical therapy, going to the gym, eating enough, and even getting iron infusions and hydration treatment. Today, Knotthattuff feels much better and looks incredible with toning, improved eating habits and the maintenance of her hard-earned weight.

Conclusion

Knotthattuff's weight loss journey is a testament to anyone who is struggling with their weight. Her story proves that with hard work, determination, and a little help, anyone can achieve their weight loss goals. Knotthattuff's journey shows us that weight loss requires patience, persistence, and self-care. By doing what is best for ourselves, we can make a significant and enduring change in our lives, just like she did.
