Introduction

Reddit user Yukono, a 15-year-old male, shared his weightlifting progress with the community. Over the span of two months, he gained 7lbs and saw improvements in his bench press, squat, and deadlift.

SS for two months

Yukono mentioned that he had been following the Starting Strength (SS) program for two months. He started squatting with 85lbs, bench pressing 65lbs, and deadlifting 120lbs. These were his working sets, not even his one-rep max. However, he did not know his previous maxes because he had never lifted before.

Increase in lifts

According to his recent post on Reddit, Yukono's current one-rep max is 155lbs for bench press, 220lbs for squat, and 280lbs for deadlift. While he acknowledges that a 7lbs increase in bodyweight is not a lot, he is proud of his progress and plans to bulk up more on ICF 5x5.

Transition to bodybuilding

Although he found success with SS, Yukono is now looking to transition into bodybuilding. He plans on starting the ICF 5x5 program to help him on this journey. ICF 5x5 is similar to SS but incorporates more exercises for hypertrophy, or muscle growth.

Conclusion

Yukono's weightlifting journey shows that even small improvements can be significant. By following a structured program like SS, he was able to see progress in just two months. Now he plans on continuing his journey with ICF 5x5 to achieve his goals in bodybuilding. If you're interested in weightlifting, consider finding a program that works for you and tracking your progress over time.
