Achieving a perfectly toned body requires focus, perseverance, and the right exercise regimen. For one Reddit user, progessthrowaway22, it took 1.5 years of dedication to see significant changes in her body composition.

Despite only losing two pounds during her journey, progessthrowaway22 managed to transform her body through the power of lifting. While she lost roughly 10-15 pounds initially, most of the weight she has since gained back has been muscle as opposed to fat. And, as the user points out, these changes couldn't be conveyed by simple weight measurements alone.

Progressthrowaway22 worked out lower body two to three times a week, incorporating heavy weights and walking to tone her muscles. During the pandemic, she used mostly at-home workouts with a barbell, weight plates, and two adjustable dumbbells. For cardio, she walked at least 10,000 steps per day, with her favorite locations being a lake and park.

When it came to her diet, the user focused on adding protein to every meal and didn't skip carbs. While she didn't track her eating, progessthrowaway22 recommends focusing on protein and not letting meal tracking become obsessive.

Progressthrowaway22's success story is an inspiration for anyone inclined towards body recomp. The key takeaways from her journey? Consistency and gradual progression through strength training exercises, like squats and lifts, and plenty of walking for cardio.
