Introduction

A Reddit user, cle_idiot, shared his weight loss journey and progress pictures to inspire others. He lost 40 lbs in 9 months by counting calories, powerlifting, and doing cardio.

Diet Regimen

Starting with MyFitnessPal, cle_idiot counted calories and learned what a good intake and meal looked like. He did try the keto diet for two weeks and it worked wonders for plateauing. But, he loved bread and beer too much, so he moved towards bodybuilding type of workout and more cardio.

Exercise Regimen

He started with powerlifting for three months and then laid off MFP a bit, moving towards more cardio and a bodybuilding type of workout. Currently, he goes to the gym 4-5 days a week and focuses on lifting and building muscle.

Tips and Tricks

Count calories, eat plenty of protein and lift to keep the muscle. Cle_idiot believes it's a slow weight loss process because you're building and maintaining muscle while losing weight at the same time. He suggests that everyone is different, so listen to your body and adjust accordingly.

Conclusion

Weight loss can be challenging, but progress pictures and inspiring communities like the one on Reddit can be a great motivator. Follow cle_idiot's regimen and adjust it according to your body and lifestyle. It will be worth it!
