Reddit user HerpDerpCrabMan had struggled with overeating and little to no exercise. For a long time, he would consume a lot of food during the day, sometimes eating three servings of carb-heavy meals for both lunch and dinner, and then consuming the rest of the food right before bed. He decided to make a change and cut back on his food intake.
For the first 6 months, HerpDerpCrabMan cut a lot of food out of his diet. He started eating breakfast every morning, which he had avoided before, consisting of a banana and a protein shake made with skim milk. He found it tough at first, but his mornings improved after a week. Lunch was a nice big juicy salad with lettuce, cukes, shredded carrots, cubed sharp cheddar cheese, a couple of slices of plain chicken breast and sriracha for flavor. Dinner was a single serving of whatever his mom cooked.
The next step for HerpDerpCrabMan was to stop eating anything after dinner, which was also challenging. To replace the late-night snacking, he ate a couple handfuls of peanuts instead. The last six months of his weight loss journey involved running. He ran until he felt his legs hurt and his lungs burn, went a little further, and then ran back home. There was no set plan, but he just ran until he felt he couldn't anymore.
HerpDerpCrabMan's determination and persistence paid off, as he managed to lose 45 pounds in 12 months. He hopes to continue his journey and get a gym membership soon, which will help him reach his goal. His story is a testament to the power of making small changes in diet and exercise to achieve significant weight loss.
If you're struggling with your weight, try making small changes like HerpDerpCrabMan did with his diet and exercise routine. Whether it's going for a walk every day or adding more vegetables to your meals, every little bit counts. With determination and persistence, you can achieve your weight loss goals too.
