Her milestones

Teachersrule started her weight loss journey with the MyFitnessPal app in January 2014. She stayed at a consistent weight since November, but has lost 55 inches since August by regularly attending boot camp workout classes, taking walks and runs, and completing many 5ks, a 10k, and three half marathons. She runs four minutes and walks one or two minutes, and during the halves, she doesn’t follow the intervals though she just does it as she can.

Overcoming challenges

Losing weight isn’t easy; it can come with many challenges. However, Teachersrule overcame a crucial one: the fear of running with knee pain. She didn't start trying to run until February and had already completed a half marathon at that point. At first, she ran until she needed to walk and then walked until she could run again. However, she hasn’t had any issues with pain at all, no shin splints, or anything, but she was walking 9-11 miles every Sunday before she began to run.
