Introduction

The internet gives us access to millions of stories of weight loss journeys, and Reddit is a great place to find them. One Reddit user going by the name of DotTif, shared her journey with everyone on the site, and it quickly gained over 500 upvotes. Over the course of just over a month, she lost a total of 15lbs, which is an impressive feat.

Exercise Regime

DotTif worked out between 5 and 6 days a week, doing a mixture of lifting, cardio and pole fitness. She mentioned that she would usually start with an hour of pole fitness, followed by 30-60 minutes of cardio and another 30 minutes of lifting. She later incorporated lifting classes into her routine, attending whenever she could, however, this only happened twice due to schedule conflicts.

Healthy Eating

One thing that sets DotTif apart from others is that she is a huge foodie. Rather than restricting her food intake, she kept a food journal instead, with black for good foods and red for bad ones. DotTif's new diet consisted of many healthy fruits such as pomegranates and clementines, as well as vegetables such as broccoli. While she did indulge in some junk food, DotTif managed to stick to a balanced and healthy diet.

Set Realistic Goals

DotTif credits her success to realistic goals that helped her achieve small milestones. One of her biggest victories was being able to zip up a previously too-small dress all the way after her weight loss. Keeping small goals helps maintain motivation and builds self-confidence. Losing weight should not be a punishment, but a way of achieving goals and feeling better in one's skin.

Conclusion

DotTif's journey shows that with dedication, hard work, and motivation, weight loss is achievable for all. Setting small goals, such as fitting into a previously too-small dress, helps maintain motivation and can lead to success. Remember to always consult a physician before starting any new diet and exercise regime. Try out DotTif's methods for yourself and see what works best for you!
