The weight loss journey

MrsSwanson, a 24 year old female Reddit user, lost 45lbs in 6 months through counting calories, eating healthy, and exercising. She posted on Reddit about her journey, encouraging others to achieve their weight loss goals. Her progress was very motivating for many Reddit users, who congratulated her on her success.

Counting calories and healthy eating

MrsSwanson counted calories and followed a healthy diet during her weight loss journey. She stayed between 1200 and 1300 calories a day and incorporated a lot of fruit, vegetables, and lean proteins like chicken and fish in her meals. She also tried to tweak recipes to make them healthier, such as replacing pasta with spaghetti squash and ground beef with lean turkey. Despite allowing herself a small treat at the end of each night and a cheat day periodically, she did not deprive herself completely.

Exercise

Along with dieting, MrsSwanson exercised regularly. In the beginning, running on the treadmill was difficult for her, but she slowly progressed until she could run 5 miles without stopping. She encouraged others to stick with their exercise program, even on days when they don't feel like it. MrsSwanson's discipline paid off, and she was very pleased with the results.

Challenges

MrsSwanson acknowledged that cutting back on alcohol was challenging for her, especially when going out with friends. She tried to control her drinking and was honest with her friends about not wanting to drink too much. However, she admits that she still indulges in drinking occasionally.

Maintaining the weight loss

MrsSwanson's journey did not end with her amazing weight loss. She emphasized the importance of maintaining the weight loss, saying that it may even be easier than the initial weight loss as she has become accustomed to the healthy lifestyle. Her inspiring journey serves as a reminder that anyone can achieve their weight loss goals with hard work, discipline and patience.
