My 60 Lb Weight Loss Journey: How I Did It

Diet: Quitting all fast/processed food and soda

ChillicotheUSAMan started his weight loss journey by changing his diet. He quit all fast and processed foods, as well as soda. Instead, he ate meats, whole grains, fruit, vegetables, and nuts. For the past couple of weeks, he has been strict paleo and has noticed even more body fat loss.

Cardio and Weight Training Combination

During the first month, ChillicotheUSAMan focused on cardio and lost 24 lbs in 24 days. He did daily cardio for that period and added in bodyweight workouts in April/May. From the end of May until now, he has been doing 3 days of weight/resistance training, 2 days of OCR training, and runs a 5k or swims on Saturdays. His gym days last about 45 minutes and consist mostly of free weights.

The Importance of Diet

While exercise played a significant role in ChillicotheUSAMan's weight loss journey, he emphasizes the importance of diet. Quitting processed foods and soda, eating whole foods, and being strict paleo for the past couple of weeks has helped him lose even more body fat.
