The Turning Point

At the age of 16, JamieT567, weighed 280lbs and had a 44" waist. His insecurities and lack of confidence drove him to drop out of college. It was then that he decided to make a change, and embark on a journey of weight loss.

The Journey

The journey was not easy, and there were periods of 2-3 months where he didn't lose any weight. However, JamieT567 had to learn to be patient and consistent. He ate at a 500 calorie deficit as often as possible, and counted his calories using MyFitnessPal. Even though his diet wasn't perfect, he was able to lose 90lbs in 20 months.

The Accomplishment

JamieT567 says that the weight loss is the biggest thing he has ever done in his life, and is his proudest achievement. He feels a million times better than he did before, and is heading towards his goal of 185lbs. He credits his success to the motivation he gained from seeing the results of others on the weight loss subReddit.

Special Diets

When asked if he used any special diets, JamieT567 mentioned that he did keto for 6 weeks to beat a plateau. However, he mentioned that it wasn't practical for him to maintain. Instead, he focused on counting calories and eating healthy whole foods. His approach was simple but effective.

Conclusion

Weight loss can be a long and challenging journey, but as JamieT567's story shows, it is possible to achieve your goals with patience and consistency. It's important to find an approach that works for you, and to stick with it. Remember to seek inspiration and motivation from the experiences of others, and know that you are not alone in your pursuit of a healthier lifestyle.
