The Turning Point

After realizing that she had let herself go, Reddit user softlikestone decided to shed the extra pounds she gained in just a few months. From 180 lbs, she was able to lose 37 lbs in just four months. This weight loss journey was fueled by her desire to change her lifestyle and get back in shape.

The Journey to a Healthier Lifestyle

For three months, softlikestone intensely focused on cardio exercises that she loved, such as jump rope. She also monitored her food intake and recorded what she ate on a daily basis to keep track of her progress. Although she couldn't start weightlifting yet, softlikestone was determined to try the sport in the future.

The Gym Sessions

Once softlikestone was back in college, she hit the gym hard. Her favorite exercises included deadlifts, backsquats, and kettlebells. She cut back on cardio, devoting minimal time only for a mile and 10 minutes on the stair master. Her persistence paid off, and now she is able to lift impressively heavy weights such as 155 lbs for backsquat, 85 lbs for bench press, and 180 lbs for deadlifts.

The Daily Food Intake

Softlikestone has also transformed her diet, with eggs for breakfast and chicken salad for lunch and dinner. She also drinks whey protein after every workout and ensures she drinks plenty of water. By monitoring what she eats, she is able to maintain a healthy diet that complements her weightlifting activities.

The Inspiration

Softlikestone came across a weight loss forum on Reddit that helped her in her journey to become healthier. Through the forum, she received encouragement and motivation from people who had gone through similar experiences as hers. She also spent time researching on her own, reading about proper form and pacing to ensure that her weightlifting exercises were done effectively.
