Introduction

35-year-old buffing_knight, standing at 5'9" and weighing 196 pounds, shared his casual weight loss journey on Reddit from September 11th to December 4th.

Less Sugar, More Veggies

In his post, buffing_knight attributed his weight loss to less sugar and more of the right kind of vegetables in his diet. He found replacements for sugar in flavored water drinks with no sugar or calories. He also swapped his snacks packed with sugars and carbs for healthy options like carrots and hummus.

Push-ups and Sit-ups

While buffing_knight did not hit the gym, he made a point to do push-ups and sit-ups at home. He aimed to do 2 sets of each, 5 days a week. Though he admits to struggling with this at times, he persisted and saw results nonetheless.

Setting Realistic Goals & Celebrating Small Wins

Instead of aiming for unrealistic, immediate results, buffing_knight focused on setting and celebrating small weekly goals like losing 1-2 pounds per week. By doing so, he kept himself motivated to continue his journey and didn’t get overwhelmed with his long-term weight loss goal.

In Conclusion

Buffing_knight’s journey showcases the positive effects of incremental lifestyle changes in reaching weight loss goals. Just by eating healthier, home workouts, and focusing on small weekly goals, he managed to lose 20 pounds in around 12 weeks. Though the journey can be challenging at times, it is achievable without the need for extreme measures. Give it a try and discover what works best for you!
