Introduction

RustyRanger, a 23-year-old male, began his weight loss journey on August 12th, 2012, and posted his progress on Reddit's Behavioral Transformation Fitness Challenge subreddit. A casual fitness enthusiast, he had already lost 35 pounds by the time he made his first post on the sub.

Home-Based Exercise

With only a minimum wage job, RustyRanger needed to find affordable ways to get fit. His solution was to use home exercises for cardio and strength training. He shared that Dance Dance Revolution provided him with an excellent morning cardio routine, while resistance bands and weights helped him work out muscles.

The Power of Body Weight Against You

RustyRanger explained that he also used his own body weight as a way to work out. He didn't have the resources to go to a gym, but he improvised with what he had. By doing simple bodyweight exercises, he was able to increase his strength and lose weight.
