Introduction

In January, a 28-year-old Reddit user, dutch4fire, started his weight loss journey. At 6'1" and weighing 200 pounds, he set a goal to lose between 10 and 15 pounds in three months.

The Exercise Plan

Dutch4fire began the weight loss journey by doing the P90X2 workout exclusively, and he complemented it with two days a week working with the Xbox fitness game on yoga and core days. He also shared that he always sets aside about 1 to 2 weeks to start eating better, meditating, and getting his mind right before getting into an extreme workout plan.

The Diet Plan

In addition to the daily exercise, Dutch4fire also adjusted his diet to help him achieve his weight loss goal. Surprisingly, he shared that his calorie intake actually increased on tough workout days. His changed diet also helped him recover from delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), which causes one to retain water weight.

The Results

After the three months of intense exercise and a healthy diet in March, Dutch4fire achieved his target weight loss of losing between 10 and 15 pounds. At the end of week one, he recorded fluctuating weight as a result of DOMS or Delayed onset muscle soreness, but eventually, he lost 15 pounds. Throughout his journey, he also shared the importance of taking breaks and hydrating properly.

Conclusion

Dutch4fire's weight loss journey may have been for himself, but it serves as an inspiration to others struggling to lose weight. His experience shows that with persistence, determination, discipline, and a positive mindset, anyone can take control and make positive changes in their life to become healthier. Individuals just need to take the first step and have faith in their progress.
