Introduction

Annikonda, a female Reddit user aged 24, stands 5’7’’ and used to weigh 205lbs. Today she has lost a whopping 40 lbs and only has 20 more to go. She explained that she had fluctuated by about 10 pounds over the years, but ever since January this year, she finally determinedly lost 30lbs.

Exercise and Calorie Control

Annikonda revealed that she mostly did cardio and ran about 10-12 miles a week. She also did random cardio machines at the gym, 3-4 times weekly. She ate 1200 to 1500 calories during the week, mindful of her alcohol consumption. Her weight loss was slow because she liked to go out but only drank on weekends.

Motivation and Body Acceptance

To get her motivation, Annikonda looked at her old photos and used them as an instant reminder every time she lost her focus. She had also accepted her past experiences and learned to love and appreciate her bodies at any size. What mattered was learning to be comfortable in her own skin.

Tips to Stay Motivated

Annikonda remarked that losing the pounds slowly helped prevent the appearance of loose skin. It also kept her encouraged physically and mentally. She advised setting realistic goals and keeping a reminder of your ‘why’. In her case, she had to remind herself to be kind to herself when the going gets tough.

Conclusion

Annikonda’s journey has been inspiring for all those who struggle with their weight, regularly working out and tracking everyday food consumption could help you achieve your weight loss goals. It requires commitment, consistency and patience but this journey could be achieved with the right approach and mindset. Those struggling with their own diets and exercise routines could benefit from her tips on staying motivated and loving yourself at any weight.
