Chollly, a Reddit user, shared his weight loss journey that turned from being fat to fit. Chollly started his journey in May 2015 when he was severely overweight. After lifting for a long time, he realized that his diet was out of whack and he had hit some nice milestones without much end. Therefore, he started counting calories, trying to limit himself to 1500 calories per day.

Chollly didn't plan out macros, but they turned out to be about 33% calories from each group. He also started running, typically doing a 5k run four times a week. At around 180 lbs, he stopped calorie counting and logging, finding it easy enough to eat at a deficit by intuition.

Chollly lost quite a bit of strength in his journey. At his nadir, he had a squat/bench/deadlift of 305/190/400, respectively. However, he's slowly getting back into the 1000-pound club!

Chollly shared his diet and workout plan with others. He runs Wendler's 5/3/1 BBB program with a few accessories thrown in, such as ab exercises, (weighted) pullups and chinups, cable rows, and weighted dips. After the workout, he did 25-30 minutes of cardio. His diet consisted of a protein coffee with two scoops of protein powder, some milk, and coffee for breakfast.

His lunch was a sandwich, an orange or banana, and a cup of soup. His dinner would be something like pork chops with roasted broccoli and couscous. He advised not skimping out on oil or fats when cooking. He would eat light lunches and breakfasts so that dinner could be relatively large.
