Reddit user, reddana, shared his progress on strength training, going from 175lbs to 200lbs. He revealed that by doing StrongLifts (SL) and Madcow workouts, he was able to add more pounds to his weight. Despite this, reddana believed that he needed to improve his lifts more.

Strength Development

According to him, his 5RM for Bench was 160lbs, Squat was 225lbs, Deadlift was275lbs, and Press was 105lbs. The program he was following had made him progressive in strength training. Although, he was not entirely satisfied with his lifts, he had indeed become stronger over time.

Maximizing Results

Reddana also mentioned that he felt like he needed to bulk more before cutting, but the changes in his body that he was noticing, mainly around his stomach area, were not making him too happy. However, he planned to continue hitting the gym hard and lifting heavily to maximize his results.

Challenges Faced

Reddana explained that he had a hip problem, which made it challenging to improve his squats. But, despite that, he continued to work on the exercise, determined to overcome the challenge.
